MoneyTree

MoneyTree, a financial services retailer, opened its first store in 1983 in Idaho. It was owned and operated by only three people. For a few years, the only service offered was check-cashing. Today, MoneyTree offers Payday loans, fax services, wire transfers, debit cards and many more services in the states of California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada and Washington.

When using a check-cashing service through MoneyTree, you are guaranteed to have a secure, friendly and convenient experience. All types of checks are accepted for cashing including payroll, personal, government, money orders, cashier's and insurance drafts. While some banks may turn away customers trying to cash a check because they do not have a bank account, MoneyTree will cash every valid check they receive regardless of the type or size.

If it is a Payday Loan you are interested in from MoneyTree, all you have to do is write a post-dated check and MoneyTree will hold the check until your next payday. In California, you can receive up to $255; Colorado, $500; Idaho, $1,000; Nevada, $5,000 and Washington, $700. You can apply for a loan with MoneyTree online at www.moneytreeinc.com. Also, you can view their frequently asked questions about receiving a payday loan with MoneyTree. You can also complete an application over the phone by calling MoneyTree Customer Service at 1-800-745-1011 between 7am and 7pm (Pacific Time). A representative will take all of your information and then you can simply visit the branch where you can sign your documents. In addition, to qualify for Payday Loans, you will need to provide them with contact information, employment information and/or other sources of income and a checking account number. Applications can be approved on the spot, and you can walk out with your cash in hand.

When it comes time to repay your MoneyTree Payday Loan, several different payment options are available depending on your state of residence. These can also be viewed on MoneyTree's website. If a loan goes into default, MoneyTree will always abide by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and will never garnish your wages nor will they sue you or attempt to take any legal action against you. All services provided by MoneyTree are handled in a professional and friendly manner.

MoneyTree also offers Express Business Loans. These loans can be used to help expand your business, order supplies or just to cover other expenses related to running your business. You can receive a loan up to $5,000 with the Express Business Loan. If you need a larger loan, ask a MoneyTree representative for details. To apply for an Express Business Loan, bring with you to any MoneyTree location your driver's license or other government-issued ID, your business license, your proof of business income (bank statements are preferred, but tax returns and other forms of proof are accepted) and your business check book. You can also call 1-800-745-1011 or visit their website to complete an application over the phone or online. Currently, this type of loan is only available in the states of Idaho, Nevada and Washington.

A Cash Solution Debit Card is another service offered by MoneyTree. These cards offer the convenience of carrying around "plastic" rather than cash. Money can be withdrawn from selected ATM's and can be used any place that accepts debit cards. You will also have a choice to upgrade to a debit MasterCard and that card can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted as well. To reload your card, simply take it to a MoneyTree branch and a representative will assist you.

If you need a money order, MoneyTree can help with that, too. Money orders are a safe way to pay bills or make other payments. If you cash a check or take out a Payday Loan through MoneyTree, money orders are offered for free as a part of the overall transaction. Otherwise, money orders are only fifty cents as opposed to anywhere from two dollars to ten dollars at a bank or other place which offers money orders. The only thing you will need to keep in mind when getting a money order is that after one year - or three years in California - a money order's value will decline. More information on the actual reduction will be printed on the back of your money order.

Wire Funds Transfer is also offered through MoneyTree. With this service, you can wire money around the world. The recipient of the money can pick it up at any participating location. By using MoneyTree's Western Union Wire Transfer Service, you can be sure that your money is reaching the intended person securely and fast. Furthermore, the money will be available to be picked up by the recipient usually within minutes of the completed transaction, although some places around the world may take a bit longer. If you use the service to pay a bill, you can use the Money Transfer Control Number which you receive and subsequently call the company you are wiring the money to in order to make sure it was received.

Instead of going to the bank to cash all of your loose change, you can use MoneyTree's Cointree service. Just as you would at a bank, drop your change in, get your receipt and take it to the teller to have it cashed. The Cointree Coin Counting Machine is currently available in Idaho, Nevada, California and Washington.

MoneyTree also offers mortgages in Washington and Idaho. These mortgages are offered through MoneyTree's partner, McLaughlin Capital Group. MoneyTree intends to extend the service to Nevada, California and Colorado. More information will soon be available on their website.

Finally, some other services offered through MoneyTree include Faxing and Copying, Postage Stamps and Bus Passes. Black-and-white copies are provided to MoneyTree customers at no cost. The faxing service is offered at $1.50 to $3.00 depending on which state you reside in. Postage stamps can be purchased by the book or individually at all of the MoneyTree locations. Bus passes are only available to customers of the Las Vegas MoneyTree location as of right now and can be purchased for forty dollars for a full-fare pass and twenty dollars for a reduced fare pass.
